Plot Twist: I’m Dating Your Best Friend Ch 92
Cassandra calmly replied, “I don’t want to know
“What?” Ryan was stunned.
She looked at him and said, “Everyone has a place in their heart meant for themselves. Mr. Scott, I don’t want to pry into your feelings. But you do know any of my secrets, I hope you’ll keep them hidden for me.“,
Ryan immediately understood. Cassandra was referring to what had happened with Daisy. She had picked up on his earlier slip of the tongue.
He nodded. “I will.”
Meanwhile, Cameron arrived at Westwood Hotel and went straight to Daisy’s room. But she
wasn’t there.
“Daisy went to meet a director today,” Harold explained. “She hasn’t been back all day. I had someone follow her the whole time, and Mrs. Dorsey wasn’t with her.”
Cameron stood silent for a while, and his brows furrowed tightly.
Harold added, “Mrs. Dorsey went out around noon with Mr. Scott. Could the two of them still be together?”
Cameron immediately denied it. “I called Ryan earlier. He’s watching fireworks with his girlfriend. And besides, he doesn’t even like Cassie that much. There’s no way he’d bring her along on a date. They’ve probably gone their separate ways by now.”
“Then, should you call Mr. Scott again to see if he knows where she went afterward?”
Cameron instinctively reached for his phone, but after a pause, he gave up.
The night was beautiful, and the fireworks were dazzling. He had already bothered Ryan once, and he could tell from their tones in the call that neither Ryan nor his girlfriend had appreciated the interruption.
After a romantic evening like that, things were bound to happen. Calling again now would be the height of insensitivity.
But where could Cassandra be? She had no friends in Stokelle. Where could she go?
“Send more of our men to search for her,” Cameron said. “Oh, we also visited Sparkleland when we came to Stokelle a long time ago. Have someone check there, too.”
Harold nodded and immediately made the arrangements.
Chapter 92
Cameron was still holding the keycard Harold had just handed him. He had spent days preparing this room for a night alone with Cassandra.
As he swiped the card and stepped inside, a gentle floral fragrance filled the air. He flicked on the lights and saw that the room was covered in rose petals.
Under the soft moonlight, the setting was beyond romantic. But where was Cassandra?
Just then, Cameron’s phone rang. He picked it up immediately. “Is there news about Cassie?” However, the voice on the other end didn’t belong to Harold. It was the voice of a policeman. “Is this Mr. Dorsey? This is the Pugford Police Department. Your wife is attempting to jump off a building. Please come to Royal Skyline Tower immediately!”
“Suicide?” Cameron’s mind went blank. “I’m on my way right now!”
Royal Skyline Tower sat right on the banks of the Pugford River. It was one of Stokelle’s most iconic landmarks.
Everyone knew that the night view from the tower was breathtaking. Countless visitors flocked here just to snap photos and marvel at its towering grandeur.
Cameron rushed over in a daze. By the time he arrived, the police had already cordoned off the
area.
Firefighters were on–site, setting up aerial ladders, while an inflatable rescue airbag was being deployed as a last resort.
“Hello, I’m Cameron. How is my wife doing?” he asked.
The policeman eyed him and questioned, “You’re Cameron Dorsey?”
“Yes! Is my wife still on the rooftop?”
