No Mercy, No Forgiveness Novel Ch 46
“Come downstairs.”
Three minutes later, the assistant arrived.
Sean instructed, “Maureen’s back. She’s in the building. Find out what’s happening.”
The assistant froze.
The Corporate Giant Group was vast, and this assistant solely served Sean, unaware of Maureen’s situation.
Hearing Sean mention someone presumed dead left him stunned.
“Mr. Robson, wasn’t Maureen dead?
How could she possibly be here?”
The assistant had worked for Sean before and knew how much he hated Mrs. Sutton.
Sean took out his phone showing a photo of Maureen entering the company moments ago.
Seeing this, the assistant’s shock took a long time to settle.
“Just investigate!
I don’t want her business spreading everywhere, got it?”
Sean commanded.
“Yes, I understand.”
The assistant hurried back to investigate.
As for Sean, he sat in the car unsure whether to follow.
Just then, Albert Robson Wright Wright Wright Wright Wright Wright called: “You rascal!
Planning to die alone?”
“Who gave you the nerve to stand up your blind date?”
The old man’s voice boomed with vigor.
Sean sighed: “Grandpa, I’m busy.”
“Busy?

Think I don’t know you’re wasting time with those good–for–nothing friends?”
Albert clearly lost patience. “Get back here now, or I’ll cut off all your resources!”
Sean had no choice but to head back.
Corporate Headquarters.
Maureen went straight to the top floor after arriving.
Executive assistant Wayne couldn’t help but look twice at Maureen’s sharp yet alluring appearance.

He remembered how she used to avoid dressing up, wearing dull clothes that made her fade into the background- nothing like a daughter of a prominent family.
But now, the woman before him wasn’t just stunning; she radiated noble elegance, almost like a different person.
“Ms. Ramirez, how can I help?”
“I need to see your Mr. Sutton.“.
Maureen spoke coldly.
Wayne responded with indifference: “Mr. Sutton’s swamped today. Doubt he’ll have time.”
Same old Wayne.
Maureen had never been his favorite, so naturally he wouldn’t take her to see Geoffrey.
She’d been turned away too many times before to expect anything different.
She’d checked Geoffrey’s schedule earlier–no important meetings today.
“Oh really?
Then tell Mr. Sutton our partnership ends here.”
Maureen turned to leave.
Predictably, Wayne shifted his stance.
“Ms. Ramirez, wait. I’ll check with Mr. Sutton immediately.”
Shedding his arrogance, he escorted her toward the executive office.
Passing the secretarial area,
long–serving secretaries stared in disbelief.

This polished woman radiated confidence–nothing like the plain, clueless, and meek Ms. Ramirez they remembered.
Ignoring their stares, Maureen entered Geoffrey’s office.
Geoffrey stood before floor–to–ceiling windows, his crisp suit accentuating his tall, imposing frame.
“Mr. Sutton.”
Wayne knocked and discreetly exited, closing the door.
Geoffrey turned to face Maureen by the entrance.
Her professional attire now lent her an air of refined poise.
He couldn’t get that night out of his head–Maureen holding wine with seductive eyes like silk threads.
Maureen felt uneasy under his intense gaze.
“Mr. Sutton, why did you have Wayne bring me here?”
Geoffrey watched her with amusement: “Come closer.”
Maureen hesitated for a moment before stepping toward him, stopping a meter away. The lingering scent of tobacco clung to him.
She remembered Geoffrey hated smoking.
Even when work demanded it occasionally, his fastidious nature never allowed the smell to linger on his clothes.
People change.
Geoffrey closed the distance: “You claim amnesia?
Aren’t you curious what happened between us?”
Maureen met his eyes: “The past is gone. I care about now and tomorrow.”
Geoffrey advanced step by step, pinning her against the wall.
His eyes teemed with emotions Maureen couldn’t decipher.
“Where’d you get all that money for charity in under five years?
Gareth gave it to you?”
Maureen didn’t know Geoffrey hadn’t slept soundly once since she left.
These past few nights, he’d lain awake till dawn.
His mind replayed images of Maureen with Gareth!

“Gareth and I are just friends. I earned every penny myself”
Before she finished, Geoffrey’s palm landed on her shoulder, trailing downward…
“How?
Through this?”
Maureen’s mind thudded, staring at him in disbelief. “What did you say?
21”
His touch burned, yet his words turned icy.
Her throat tightened. Fingers clenched rigidly at her sides, nails biting deep into her palms.
Geoffrey leaned into her ear. “Name your price. Whatever Gareth paid, I’ll double it!”
His thumb traced circles on her skin, craving to imprison her in his embrace forever.
“Remember your family’s debt?
Consider it erased. Just name a number–no tricks. Stay here honestly, and it’s yours!”
He’d barely finished speaking when Maureen couldn’t hold back any longer–her hand snapped up and slapped him. hard across the face.
“You asshole!”
Geoffrey’s chiseled check burned crimson.
Yet he didn’t flinch from the pain, instead seizing Maureen’s wrist in an iron grip.
He lowered his head, icy eyes pinning her in place.
