After i left my ex-husband Ch 24
Jaelynn sipped her coffee in silence.
She could tell that Renata had not yet gotten to the main point.

Renata continued with a sigh, “You know it wasn’t easy for me to bring Javon back to the Bradford family. He’s not young anymore, and the elders at home are urging him to get married. They want to arrange blind dates for him with heiresses from suitable families.”
Javon was going to have an arranged marriage?
Upon hearing this, Jaelynn slowly lifted her gaze.
This was indeed something she hadn’t known before.
“Javon is well aware of the choices he has in the Bradford family, so he hasn’t gone against the family’s arrangements. A man should put his career first. Even though your relationship is rare, he can’t promise you marriage.”
Renata spoke these words from the perspective of the Bradford family.
Suddenly, Jaelynn understood.
She had thought that marriage was simply a choice between two people in love, but she hadn’t expected that Javon was still weighing status and interests in his heart.
That was why he had never brought up marriage.
So he was just keeping her as a backup?
Now Jaelynn finally knew the answer she had long wanted.
But her heart felt nothing, because people who no longer matter can’t affect her anymore.
“Why are you telling me all this, Auntie?”
It was clear that Renata truly hoped she would cut ties with Javon completely.
“Jaelynn, as a mother, I have to make the right decisions for Javon. Since you’ve broken up, I hope you won’t see each other again. I’ll also blind dates for Javon.”
“I’m not interested in knowing about these things.”
Jaelynn’s attitude was cold.
At that moment, Renata took out a blank check.

“A woman’s youth is precious. I know Javon used to spoil you. Even though the Norton Group went bankrupt, you’ve still been living a pampered life. I don’t want to see you suffer in the future. If I can do something for you, it will put my mind at ease.”
There was a hint of mockery in Renata’s eyes.
She had used this tactic before.
A breakup disguised as a retreat was just Jaelynn’s way of forcing marriage, trying to marry into a wealthy family.
“Jaelynn, you must accept this token of my goodwill.”
As long as Jaelynn accepted the check, she would have no face to cling to Javon anymore.
Renata had come specifically to deliver a breakup fee
Jaelyno let out a soft, cold laugh.
A normal romantic relationship, all because of a difference in status.
In the end, did it really turn into her being kept?
“I do have one request”
Jaelynn composed her expression and spoke in a frosty tone, “Auntie, please make sure Javon doesn’t bother me again I’m leaving now. *

Chapter 24
Ignoring Renata’s darkened expression, she stood up and left.
Javon stayed in the hospital for two days before returning home to recuperate.
This time, without Jaelynn by his side to care for him, his injuries healed very slowly,
“Javon, don’t go to the company. You need to rest and take care of your health.”
Renata came personally to look after him.
Javon said nothing, resting with his eyes dosed.
The housekeeper was preparing dinner in the kitchen.
Renata walked downstairs, glanced around, and said with dissatisfaction, “Why haven’t you tidied up the house? These rotten fruits and the withered flowers in the vase–why haven’t you thrown them away?*
“Mr. Bradford told me not to touch them. They were left by Ms. Norton.”
Of course Renata knew; the people she had placed around Javon always reported back to her.
“Then wait until Mr. Bradford goes out, and clean everything up then.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
But at that moment, Javon walked out of the bedroom, his expression dark and his brows furrowed.
“Mom, this is my house. Nothing in my home is to be touched without my permission.”
“Javon, if you can’t keep the person, what’s the point of keeping her things?*
Renata’s words were laced with implication.
Javon looked at all the traces of Jaelynn’s life in the house, his eyes darkening.
“Jael will come back.”
Jaelynn had sent him back to the hospital because she was worried about his injuries.
Besides, there was no man by her side better than him.
She would definitely choose him again!
Javon was confident in himself.
Jaelynn’s studio in the villa had been renovated.
