Before seeing Scarlett Adler, Hugo Hodges still held a glimmer of hope.
He thought that maybe Scarlett would have the children, even if it was to get back at him or provoke him.

Hugo Hodges glanced at her and sneered, “What? Can’t I get drunk if I want to?”

Annoyed, Hugo Hodges got up to leave, but as he did, his phone fell out of his pocket.
“Sir, your phone!” The waiter picked it up and followed after him, but no matter how much she called, Hugo
Hodges didn’t turn around.
Just then, the phone rang.
The waiter thought for a moment and answered, “Hello.”
Tiana Young was still working late at the office. Hearing a woman answer the phone, she immediately
became wary, “Who are you? Why do you have his phone?”
“Hello, this is Gold Street Bar. A gentleman got drunk here and left his phone behind when he left,” the waiter
explained.

Tiana Young frowned, “Where is he?”
“He just walked out. I called after him for a while, but he didn’t stop,” the waiter said.
“Okay, I understand. Keep the phone for now, and I’ll come by to pick it up later!”
“Alright.”
After hanging up, Tiana Young grabbed her car keys and left the office.
Twenty minutes later,
Tiana Young arrived at the Gold Street Bar.
As her car pulled up, she spotted Hugo Hodges walking along the roadside.
Tiana got out and walked towards him. Just as she reached his side, Hugo stumbled, and Tiana quickly
steadied him.
Hugo turned around, and when he saw it was her, a self-deprecating smile touched his lips. “Tiana, what are
you doing here?”
“Why didn’t you call me when you went out for a drink?” Tiana asked softly, her voice gentle and caring.
“Why would I call you? I just wanted to have a drink by myself!” Hugo replied.
“Where’s your phone?” Tiana asked.
Hugo patted his pockets, but couldn’t find it.
“I left it with the waiter. I wouldn’t have known you were here if he hadn’t called me.”
Hugo smiled, not saying much more.
“Get in the car, I’ll go get your phone.”
Hugo didn’t object. Tiana helped him into the car. “Rest for a bit, I’ll be right back.”

Closing the car door, Tiana went to retrieve the phone.
As the waitress returned her phone, Tiana Young took out a thousand Rand from her wallet to give to her.
“No need, Madam, it was just a small thing!” The waitress refused with a smile.
However, Tiana directly stuffed the money into her hand. “If money can solve it, I don’t want to say thank you.”
With that, she left.
She seemed to have a compulsion that as long as it was a woman who appeared near Hugo Hodges, no
matter what they did, she had to settle it with money. It was as if only in this way could she prove that she
was unique.
Over the years, it had become a habit for her.

Hugo Hodges’ gaze turned cold as he looked at her.

woman.” Hugo Hodges suddenly grabbed her shoulders, warning her fiercely, “Scarlett Adler, I won’t let you

for life, until death do us part!” Hugo Hodges said bitterly.
Apparently, he had mistaken Tiana Young for Scarlett Adler.

She didn’t know what had happened between Hugo Hodges and Scarlett Adler, but she knew that this woman
had an impact on him.
The kind of impact that could make Hugo Hodges think of her with hatred even when drunk.
Tiana Young had never been as worried as she was now. A voice inside her told her that if she couldn’t get
past Scarlett Adler, she would lose Hugo Hodges forever.
But if she could overcome this obstacle, she would become Hugo Hodges’ last woman.
Tiana Young clenched her fists.
She looked at Hugo Hodges, who had passed out again.
“I don’t know what happened between you and her, but I will sort it out for you.” With that, Tiana Young turned
and got out of the car.
After making a phone call outside, she got back into the car and sat in the driver’s seat. Tiana Young looked
at Hugo Hodges in the rearview mirror.
