Hugo Hodges tried to help Tiana Young up, but she seemed to have passed out in his arms and couldn’t
stand.
“Hugo, I can’t anymore…” she said, leaning against his chest.
“Tiana, Tiana,” Hugo called her name a couple of times, but seeing that she didn’t respond, he reluctantly picked her up, opened the car door, and placed her inside.
Then he drove off.
As he left, the car following them quickly tailed behind.

Hugo Hodges opened the door with her fingerprint. Having been here before, he knew his way around.
After carrying her into the bedroom, Hugo prepared to leave.
“No, no, get away, let me go!” Tiana suddenly shouted.
Hugo turned back to see Tiana flailing her arms in bed, as if she were trapped in a nightmare.
He immediately went over and held her hands down. “Tiana, Tiana, it’s okay, you’re safe now, you’re at your
place.”
After a while of comforting, Tiana Young finally opened her teary eyes. “Hugo,” she said, and hugged him
tightly.
“I’m so scared, I’m so scared,” she sobbed, clinging to Hugo Hodges.
Hugo Hodges patted her back. “It’s okay, everything’s alright now.”

After an unknown amount of time, seeing that she had stopped crying, Hugo Hodges gently removed her
arms from around his neck.
“Tiana, you should rest. You don’t have to go to work tomorrow. Take a few days off at home,” Hugo Hodges
said.
Tiana Young didn’t speak, just looked at him with a pitiful expression.
“It’s getting late, I should go,” he said.
But Tiana Young grabbed his hand, looking weak and scared. “Hugo, can you stay here with me? I’m really
scared…”
“Or, you can leave after I fall asleep, otherwise, I won’t be able to sleep,” she said.
Hugo Hodges nodded. “Okay, I’ll wait outside and keep watch.”
Tiana Young nodded.
“Rest early.” After settling her in, Hugo Hodges got up and left the room.
Tiana Young knew that if Hugo Hodges had promised her something, he would definitely keep his word.
As the door closed, her previously pitiful eyes instantly turned clear and determined.

No matter what it takes, I will make you stay by my side.
It was early morning when Tiana Young finally emerged from the room.
After freshening up, she changed into a comfortable silk pajama set, looking relaxed and gentle.

She grabbed a blanket and quietly walked over, intending to cover him.
But as her hand touched him, Hugo Hodges suddenly opened his eyes.
“Oh, you’re awake?” Tiana Young asked, looking at him.

“Did I wake you? I saw you were asleep and was afraid you’d get cold, so I wanted to put a blanket over you,”

“No need…” Hugo Hodges started to get up, but Tiana Young, as if losing her balance, fell directly into his
arms.
The sweet fragrance filled the air, and Hugo Hodges felt something intoxicating take over him.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” Tiana Young said, but she made no move to get off him.
Their eyes met, and Hugo’s gaze changed.
“Hugo, what’s wrong?” Tiana asked softly in his ear.
Hugo didn’t say anything, just kept looking at her.
Tiana’s heart suddenly raced. Over the years, her desire for Hugo had grown deeper and deeper, and she
wished she could become his woman right now.
Reaching out to touch his face, Tiana brought her lips closer to his, little by little. “Hugo, I can…”
Suddenly, the image of Scarlett Adler’s sarcastic and indifferent face flashed in his mind.
Hugo immediately turned his face away, and Tiana’s kiss missed his lips.

Hugo Hodges glanced at his phone and hung up immediately.
