Forgive? Never Novel Ch 35
“Grandma felt guilty toward Seryna, so she favored Sera. Big brother, I know it sounds heartless, but I’m the sister who grew up with you. I was worried Seryna would take your spot as the heir.
This was what she let Brunell leave for, what she wanted to say to
Jeremiah.
Jeremiah was amused by what she said and didn’t believe at all that Seryna could take his place as heir.
He reached out and rubbed her head, his voice proud, “Tila, you’re overthinking it. Like you said, a wild girl from the countryside–what right does she have to compete with me for the heir’s spot? Grandma’s not senile. How could she possibly favor some girl from the country?”
“Grandma only took her in because she felt sorry for her.”
Tehila frowned a little, looking at the smug and confident Jeremiah. Jeremiah’s stupidity came from his arrogance and cockiness.
“Big brother, don’t take my words lightly. From what I knew about grandma, she wanted to train Seryna to be her successor. All these years, she had been picking a successor from the Willard family’s kids. There were a lot of outstanding girls in the Willard family, but grandma ended up choosing Seryna.”
Tehila kept persuading people, saying Seryna could never be the old lady’s successor, and that she was the only heir of the Willard family.
What was Seryna? She even dared to fight her for the heir’s spot.

The Willards were just her stepping stone. Right now, the most important thing was to marry Brunell. With the title of Mrs. Fortin, it would be easier for her to do a lot of things.
Jeremiah still didn’t really believe it, but when he thought about Natalie being with Seryna, a seed of doubt was planted in his mind.
Tehila didn’t say much. She knew Jeremiah was suspicious by nature, and now he already saw Seryna as an enemy.

She had to go through a lot of grandma’s tests if she wanted to be the heir.
Seryna guessed that next; Natalie would take her to all kinds of parties to meet people.
In other families, there was no such thing as women inheriting the family business, but in the Willard family, it was possible, because grandma made it as the heir, which proved that women could also hold up the sky.
Seryna was busy studying early in the morning and got a message from Cal.

Seryna studied until the afternoon, then went to see her grandma. She had to go out for a while.
Devona sat in the hall, wearing a crescent–white long dress. She looked elegant and noble. Even though she was old, that strong–woman vibe of hers was obvious and made people respect her.
Seryna really liked this kind of elegant grandma. She was kind, but also had an edge.
She just saw Grandma making a call.
“Stopped the project Jeremiah was working on, warned him, it was the price for what he did to Sera last time.”

“He liked standing up for Tehila and being her target, so he had to face the consequences. If it happened again, I would take the company back from him.”
Seryna heard what her grandma said, and felt a warm feeling inside. In her last life, if she had come back with her grandma, maybe her life would have been different.
Her life would have been as brilliant as a rainbow, but…
She walked over quickly, squatted down next to grandma, and said,
Grandma, thank you for standing up for me.”
Devona reached out and rubbed her head, speaking kindly: “Sera, you were a lot like me when I was young–tough, brave. Other people only saw your flaws, but to me, you were the best.”
