No Mercy, No Forgiveness Novel Ch 25
He was taken aback. What happened to her?
“Don’t touch me!”
The warmth of his body brought Maureen to her senses. Her eyes reddened.
She tried to push him away but failed.
Even a healthy woman usually wasn’t as strong as a man, not to mention her, whose health had been worsening.
Geoffrey showered her with passionate kisses. It was raining more heavily outside.
Lying on the cold bed, Maureen was still hearing the noise in her ears. Her belly was hurting.
Scared, Maureen gently put her hands over her belly.
Finally, the rainstorm stopped.
“Maureen, you shouldn’t have upset me.” Geoffrey was breathing heavily.
She could only hear him vaguely.
With dull eyes, she said, “Didn’t you say you’d never touch me?
“What are you doing now?”
She buried her face in the pillow. He didn’t notice that her face was pale.
Maureen continued, “Does your lover know you’re here? She’ll be furious if she knows what you’re doing.”
She used to think Geoffrey was ruthless yet devoted.
But now, she thought he was a total asshole.
Lover…
Geoffrey knew she was referring to Andrea.
“Do you think of this when you’re with Gareth?”
That was harsh.
Geoffrey wouldn’t suffer in silence for a woman, especially Maureen.
He mocked, “You’re skinny. I’m surprised any man can be attracted to you.”

He got dressed.
With the boom sound ringing in her ears, Maureen felt something was flowing out of her body.
Before Geoffrey left, she asked, “Mr. Sutton, if I die, will you be sad?”
Dic?
What kind of ridiculous question was that?
Geoffrey didn’t answer but ordered, “Move back to Pearl Villa tomorrow.”
Maureen didn’t hear him.
After he left, she lifted the quilt. There was blood between her legs.
Geoffrey didn’t know that an ambulance came to Maureen’s building soon after he left.
The next day.
At the hospital.
Maureen was lying on the bed. Gareth was looking after her.
Luckily, she had been taken to the hospital in time last night. Otherwise, she could’ve lost the baby.
Now, she was more determined to leave Geoffrey.
Her phone tinkled.
There were two new messages. One was from Noelle, who had fled abroad.
It went, “Maureen, since you’re alive, help me deal with Stuart. Your brother and I will be thankful.”
Maureen deleted the message without replying.
As long as she lived, Noelle and Adrian would ask her to give and give till the day she died.
The other message was from Heather.
“Maureen, you know Geoffrey hates you, right? He won’t divorce you because he wants you to suffer. Will you just disappear? I’m begging you.”
Gareth came and happened to see the message.
Frowning, he cursed, “Can they be more shameless?”
Maureen turned off her phone and looked at him with a faint smile.
“But there are good people, too. Thank you.”
Gareth’s heart ached when he saw the forced smile on her face.

Chapter 25
What had she been through these years?
Why was she so cautious around an old friend?
Gareth sat before her and looked at her. “You don’t have to thank me. We’re friends, aren’t we?”
Maureen nodded.
After a moment of hesitation, she asked, “Gareth, will you do me a favor?”
She knew she could only count on him now.

At Pearl Villa.
Geoffrey came home from work on time today.
He thought Maureen wouldn’t be angry anymore today.
But when he opened the door, the living room was dark and quiet. She didn’t come back.
Geoffrey’s eyes darkened.
He took out his phone and checked. There were only messages from work. She didn’t call or text him.
Irritated, he walked in, pulled off his bow tie, and sat on the couch.
Inexplicably, his head started to hurt.
He leaned back and massaged his temples. The second he closed his eyes, he saw Maureen’s sweet face.
She wasn’t just pretty. She was stunning.
