With no choice, Sean wrapped a towel around his waist and marched out. Under stunned gazes, he borrowed a phone. to call his assistant.

Though puzzled, the assistant nodded.
Then he added, “Young Master, about what you asked me to look into this morning… I’ve found out.”
“Katherine and Maureen were college classmates.
After graduation, Katherine went abroad.
She returned shortly after Maureen came back.”
“From my investigation, Katherine had feelings for a classmate named Tyler.
I suspect she asked Maureen to attend the matchmaking event because of Tyler.”

The assistant told Sean everything he knew.
Sean’s eyes grew inscrutable.
He changed clothes and went downstairs, spotting Geoffrey and Andrea standing together like a perfect couple.
Sean hesitated but didn’t mention today’s events to Geoffrey.

Maureen answered Katherine’s call, hearing dejection in her voice: “Reenie, I’m coming back tonight.”

Did you find him?” Maureen asked.
Katherine’s voice caught.

She paused, feigning nonchalance. “But he’s with someone else now. It’s completely over between us.”
Maureen struggled to find comforting words.
Katherine changed the subject: “How was the matchmaking?
They didn’t give you trouble, did they?”
“It’s complicated.”
Maureen glanced out the window where the sun was setting.
“I’ll come find you and Jacob tonight, we’ll talk then.”
“Okay.”
Midsummer night.
When Katherine returned, she hid her disappointment and didn’t mention Tyler again.
Maureen and Jacob thoughtfully didn’t ask, and instead told her about the blind date today.
“Sean?
How could it be him?
I should’ve asked to make sure.”
Katherine sighed.
“Right now I’m worried he’ll retaliate against you.”
