No Mercy, No Forgiveness Novel Ch 59
The moment Andrea stepped in, she saw Maureen’s flushed face and watery eyes.
Being adults, Andrea could tell at a glance what had just happened between them.
“What is it?”
Geoffrey’s slightly hoarse voice snapped Andrea out of her thoughts.
She tightened her grip on the invitation in her hand, walked up to Geoffrey, and handed it to him.
“Geoffrey, I’m releasing a new song tonight. I hope you can come,
I wrote it just for you.”
Geoffrey didn’t take it, replying coldly: “I don’t have time.”
Andrea hadn’t expected him to refuse so decisively.
Thinking of what had just happened between him and Maureen, her free fingers dug into her palm.
Suppressing her displeasure, she looked at Maureen beside her: “Reenie, can you come then?”
“Right after the press conference is our college reunion. Maybe seeing old classmates will help you remember some- thing.”
Geoffrey’s gaze also shifted over.
Maureen had just told Geoffrey about wanting to recover her memory, so it was hard to refuse her. She agreed: “Okay.”
She took the invitation and left the office.
Seeing that Maureen was also going to the press conference, Geoffrey was a bit tempted.
After Andrea kept pestering him, Geoffrey agreed to go as well.
Andrea quietly noted the change in Geoffrey, and her hatred for Maureen grew stronger than before.
Meanwhile, after returning from Geoffrey’s office, Maureen couldn’t help feeling annoyed.
She was so close…
Evening.
Following the time on the invitation, Maureen had her driver take her to the opera house that evening.

The entire concert hall and exhibition space of the opera house were booked exclusively by Andrea. No outsiders. were allowed except invited guests.
Maureen entered with her invitation and was seated in a spot with a wide view.
From here, she could see most of the venue.
She hadn’t understood Andrea’s intention until she spotted that familiar figure before the performance began.
Geoffrey had actually come, seated at the head table.
Didn’t he say he wouldn’t come?
Maureen scoffed coldly. Facing Andrea, he never truly refused.
Andrea was riding high.
With Geoffrey present, media swarmed to cover her, all reports glowing.
Those trust fund kids from university who’d once looked down on her now fawned over her, hoping to get close to Geoffrey.
Their schemes failed though–bodyguards surrounded Geoffrey, blocking anyone from approaching.
Maureen watched from afar, wondering what he told his guards.
Soon, a bodyguard approached her respectfully.
“Ms. Ramirez, our CEO requests your presence.”
She had no reason to refuse. Walking forward,
every eye turned toward her.
“Isn’t that Maureen?”
“Wasn’t she dead?”
“Yeah!”
“He’s back from the dead!”
Students who knew Maureen whispered among themselves.
Maureen took her seat beside Geoffrey, enduring the strange looks from all directions.
“Mr. Sutton, why did you ask me here?”
Geoffrey’s hawk–like eyes fixed on her. “Didn’t you say you wanted your memories back?”

“I’m here to help.”
Under his piercing gaze, Maureen felt a chill run down her spine.
Fortunately, Andrea stepped onto the stage at that moment.
Spotting Maureen seated with Geoffrey, Andrea’s eyes flickered with darkness before she composed herself.
Before singing, she slowly opened her mouth.
“This new song is dedicated to my first love… my one and only.”
First love… only one…
The entire school knew Cinderella Andrea had climbed the Sutton family tree by clinging to Geoffrey.
So when she spoke, everyone knew she meant Geoffrey.
Since this was a private performance, some began jeering.
Compared to those outsiders, Geoffrey appeared much calmer.
Andrea’s gaze fell back on Maureen.
“Although my first love and I went through many twists and turns without marrying, I believe we’ll end up together.”
This was an indirect warning to Maureen.
The accompaniment began for Andrea’s new song “Beam of Hope,” its melody melodious and touching.
For some reason, Maureen found it vaguely familiar yet couldn’t recall where she’d heard it.
“The melody is quite good, but what a shame she ruined it with her singing.”
Geoffrey’s low voice snapped Maureen out of her thoughts.
Despite being a professional singer, Andrea’s vocal ability was mediocre.
Geoffrey turned to Maureen. “I remember you used to enjoy singing too.”
Had he not mentioned it, Maureen might have forgotten entirely.
Perhaps inheriting her mother Noelle’s gift, Maureen had shown musical talent since childhood. Yet her hearing im- pairment proved fatal for any musical pursuit.
Geoffrey had once caught her humming a tune–hauntingly beautiful.
He imagined how brilliantly she’d perform this song.
Maureen hadn’t expected him to remember her old passion, especially since he’d despised household noises back then.
“Is that so?”

“I don’t remember.”
She replied.
In the dim light, Geoffrey’s gaze lingered on her as he added, “Then do you remember Andrea’s first love? That was
me.”
