No Mercy, No Forgiveness Novel Ch 76
Geoffrey pressed relentlessly
Maureen’s pulse raced, ears ringing.
Why hadn’t the sedative taken effect!
“Mr. Sutton, you misunderstand.”
Unconvinced, Geoffrey traced her flushed cheek.
“You never wore makeup before. Never dressed like this.”
Never… never…
The corners of Maureen’s eyes reddened.
A bitter smile touched her lips.
“Did it occur to you that maybe I always wanted to wear makeup and pretty clothes?”
Geoffrey choked.
Maureen continued: “No girl dislikes looking beautiful.”
“Maybe the old me was too timid, hiding all my preferences away.”
Geoffrey felt a heaviness in his chest hearing this.
“So you’re saying everything you did before was for me?”

Maureen lifted her head to meet his gaze: “I told you, I don’t remember. But I can clearly say now–I love makeup, I adore bright beautiful clothes, and I fancy gold jewelry too.”
Before, Maureen wore gray clothes and used no makeup
solely to avoid angering Geoffrey.
Her family had deceived him, so she dared not dress elaborately to upset him further.
Once, merely wearing a red dress while humming and watering flowers outside,
he’d sneered:
“Clever tricks your Ramirez Family plays. Deceiving people yet dressing to the nines without a care, laughing all the while.”
Ever since, at home she never dared show joy, never smiled,
and certainly never dressed well.
That Geoffrey remained oblivious was one thing–but to blame it on her supposed lack of interest!
How ridiculous.
Maureen’s hanging hand clenched tight, fingertips digging deep into her palms until they drew blood, yet still she wouldn’t release.
Geoffrey leaned against her, breathing in her sweet scent as drowsiness crept in. “Then why didn’t you tell me?”

Maureen froze.
His free arm wrapped around her slender waist.
Leaned down, chin resting on her narrow shoulder.
“Why do I feel you hate me?”
Maureen’s throat felt like cotton stuffed in it.
She should be the one saying this!
He’s the one who hates her!
Her voice cracked: “Could you let go?”
Geoffrey tightened his embrace instead.
“Maureen, know how long I’ve searched for you?”
“Enough!
You heartless thing!”
Maureen regretted feigning amnesia. Otherwise she’d confront him properly.
Who’s heartless here!
Geoffrey’s constitution baffled her still awake despite everything.
She kept talking: “Mr. Sutton, aren’t you afraid the famous Ruan will get jealous?”

Geoffrey’s lips
Maureen shivered. Before reacting, his mouth covered hers.
While kissing her, he shed his coat.
Maureen’s blood seemed to freeze.
Geoffrey tossed his coat aside, his large hand cradling the back of Maureen’s head as his entire frame pressed down on her.
Maureen felt her breath catching, trying to push him away but utterly overpowered.
The all–consuming, domineering kiss finally ended after what felt like eternity.
Geoffrey leaned against her, repeatedly stroking her soft hair, eyelids growing heavy.
“Maureen, I’m exhausted.”
Maureen’s limp hand slowly rose, gently patting his shoulder: “Then sleep.”
Geoffrey scooped her up, placed her on the sofa, then nestled against her, drifting off while breathing in her hair’s delicate fragrance.
Only when the man’s breathing steadied did Maureen dare pry his arm away and rise from the sofa.
She headed upstairs to retrieve the sperm collection kit, but before leaving, Geoffrey embraced her again.

Eyes still shut, his voice thick with sleep: “Where?”
Maureen frowned.
How was he still conscious?
“I’m cleaning the kitchen.”
Geoffrey pulled her back against him: “I’ll have staff clean it tomorrow. Stay.”
Maureen could only lie still obediently.
Throughout the night, Maureen attempted several times to rise for the
kit.
Yet each slight movement away instantly roused Geoffrey.
She had no idea he was such a light sleeper.
She should’ve added more to the dose.
Yet after he drifted off,
he wouldn’t even drink water.
Finally, Maureen had no choice but to give up for now.
Perhaps exhausted from the long ordeal, she drifted into sleep too.
The next day.
Flecks of sunlight danced across his face.

Geoffrey had never slept so soundly.
He opened his eyes, gazing at Maureen curled against his chest. The usual frost in his eyes melted into unexpected warmth.
The AC hummed in the room. Seeing her shiver, Geoffrey reached for his coat to drape over her.
Just then, Maureen’s eyes fluttered open.
Meeting his gentle gaze, she blurted out: “Geoff.”
Geoffrey froze.
Maureen snapped back to reality, scrambling from his embrace only to crash onto the floor.
A sharp intake of breath escaped her at the pain.
Watching her frantic movements, Geoffrey hauled her upright. “What did you just call me?”
“What?”
Maureen decided to play dumb.
Seeing this, Geoffrey dropped the subject.
He rose, his voice laced with icy mockery: “Busy people forget, Ms. Ramirez.”
None of the morning’s tenderness remained–only detached indifference
hardened his features.
